Is Play World free and does it need a login?
Yes, Play World is free and needs no login, email or payment. A child just types or says their name, picks an avatar and starts playing.
What age is Play World for?
Play World is made for children aged 3 to 8. Everything is spoken aloud, buttons are big and there is no losing, so pre-readers can play on their own.
What will my child learn in Play World?
Children learn the alphabet and phonics, counting and simple maths, colours and shapes, over 200 picture words, listening and story understanding, memory and logic, tracing letters, colouring, music and early problem solving.
Is Play World safe for kids?
Yes. Play World has no ads, no chat and no outside links for children. Progress is saved only on your own device. The optional "Me in 3D" photo is processed on the device and never uploaded, and the camera opens only after a grown-up passes a maths check.
Does Play World work on phones and offline?
Play World works in Chrome, Safari and Edge on Android phones, iPhones, tablets and computers. It can be added to the home screen like an app, and after the first visit most of it also works offline.
Can I limit my child's screen time?
Yes. The grown-ups corner (the lock button) shows today's play time and a 7-day chart, and lets you set a daily limit of 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. When time is up, a calm "time for a break" screen appears.
