To reach Sita, Rama's friends began building a long bridge across the sea. Big monkeys carried big rocks. It was hard work!
A tiny squirrel watched and wanted to help too. She was very small, but her heart was big.
She rolled in the sand, then ran to the bridge and shook the sand off between the stones. Back and forth she went, again and again.
Some monkeys giggled. "You are too small to help!" But the little squirrel did not stop.
Every little grain of sand helped make the bridge strong.
No helper is too small. Every little bit of help counts.
